How to check if Exim4 is running

Exim4 allow us to send message through our server. When we install this package and configure it, we may want to test its functionnality and see if the messages are effectively sent.

To check if Exim4 is running, enter this command :

netstat -lnp | grep :25

You should get this output :

tcp        0      0 127.0.0.1:25            0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN      24519/exim4
