Thanks to the Comac C919, an airplaine that will carry about 168 passengers over a distance of 5550 km. It will thus be able to compete with the B737 from Boeing and the A320 from Airbus.
The first inaugural flight is scheduled for this week.
Other companies have attempted to enter the course of major international flights but without success, like Bombardier, Embraer and Tupolev.
China would need more than 6,800 new aircrafts for the next 20 years.
Comac has already received more than 570 preorders for its C919.
