We took the 5 best watercooling kits among the top watercooling, based on user ratings on online boards. And we averaged 50 random reviews with results in terms of temperature at idle, in game and stress test (max).

The best performance is attributed to the Lepa AquaChanger 120.

Unfortunately, in fact, some watercooling kits have serious defects. These include pump’s failure, but also leakage of the coolant. There are therefore opinions concerning models H60, H75, H80i, H100i, H110, H115i. It is no surprise in the Corsair Hydro Series that there is the biggest number of serious cases. Thus, the Lepa AquaChanger 120 and the Corsair Hydro Series have to be avoided. Even though the Lepa AquaChanger 120 is overall excellent in cooling. Enermax Liqmax II 120S is acceptable. The Arctic Liquid Freezer 240 is okay. The Thermaltake WATER 3.0 with the little accident and very good temperature finally becomes the true leader of this top.

But the risk persists. The watercooling kits seem less safe than the old kits that had an external pump a decade ago but which was much noisier and bulky. And nowadays, the ventirads have gained enormously in quality. Thus, with a watercooling kit, we have a gain of only 5 ° C compared to a high-end ventirad. And the kit starts silently, degrades after a few months to become increasingly noisy, not to mention the pump that can gurgle if air bubbles seeps into the coolant. This is not the case with a ventirad.
