Here is a graph and a table showing the evolution of the dairy sheep herd in France between 1988 and 2021. Unfortunately, we lack data for many years. That said, we note that the population of dairy ewes is evolving around 1.3 million head.
However, with this population which has increased little, the delivery of sheep's milk in France has continued to grow over the past 40 years.
