Morgoth is a being who was created by the creator god of the Universe in the world of Lord of the Rings, namely Eru Ilúvatar. He is part of a group of powerful creatures who must help the creator god to manage the world Eä. This group is that of the Ainur.
Sauron is initially a Maiar, that is to say a spirit who must help the Valar to shape the world. The Valar are part of the Ainur. He is under the orders of Aulë who is the Valar god of the Earth. Sauron was quickly corrupted by Morgoth. He becomes his first lieutenant, the most faithful and the most powerful.
Morgoth is the first dark lord during the First Age. Sauron becomes the second Dark Lord during the Second Age, after Morgoth is defeated by the Valar and thrown into the timeless void.
We gave 590 for the date of Morgoth's death, but in reality he is immortal.
For Sauron, it is specified 0 for his year of birth but in fact Sauron already existed before in spirit form.
