Renaming a file with Linux can be helpful if you made a mistake previously and you want to correct it. It can save you some time also, as otherwise you would have to connect to its folder through a FTP access and then modify it manually.
To rename a file in linux, you have to use a command with the old file name, and the new file name :
mv old-file new-file
