How to configure the .htaccess file in WordPress

The .htaccess file is very important for a website. It allows you to rewrite URLs to make them more easily readable for the user. So instead of having a number for an article, we will have the title of the article in the browser's address bar. A user can know in advance what is the subject of the article to which a link is redirected.

An .htaccess file can also redirect an error to a specific page that lets you know that the page has been deleted or moved.

If you want a structure for permalinks of the type: domain name / category / postid-posttitle /, then you should use a .htaccess file with the following content:
