How to install a file editor in Debian



How to set up an application to edit the files directly in the Debian server, via the SSH administration interface? One of the most intuitive editors is without doubt Gedit. With this one, one can open, edit, add, remove lines, search, record.

To install Gedit, type the following line:

 sudo apt-get install gedit
