Install Webp in Photoshop software
Webp is a format that is found more and more on the Internet. Many Internet users complain about this because when you save images with this format, you can only then view them in a Web browser. Webp is in fact a format that was specially designed for Internet browsing. This format has the particularity of compressing the image better than more traditional formats, such as JPG, JPEG, PNG. This makes the images less cumbersome to load, which benefits Internet users using a smartphone or tablet with a 3G or 4G connection. This format has become essential for creating ergonomic content, and thus responding to the essential web signals required by Google to better satisfy users.
However, this format is not naturally present in most versions of image editing software. You must therefore install the format yourself.
How to install Webp format in Photoshop

You must first download the Webp format here: https://github.com/webmproject/WebPShop/releases
Then you have to copy and paste the file which looks like WebPShop_*_*_*_Win_x64.8bi into the Windows Explorer path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC\File Formats
You will finally be able to open and edit Webp images in Photoshop, as well as being able to change the image compression settings.
