Where is the location of Sendmail log files?

It may be useful to check the contents of the Sendmail application log files to find out what might be a problem during a malfunction. So where can we find Sendmail's log files?

You will find the Sendmail service log files in the following directory:

/var/log/maillog

/var/log/mail.log

/var/adm/maillog

/var/adm/syslog/mail.log

Otherwise, you can look in the configuration file:

nano /etc/syslog.conf

Here is an example of a possible result:

mail.*         -/var/log/maillog
