The longest suspension bridge in the world is in Switzerland

Switzerland has just inaugurated the longest suspension bridge in the world. It is located in the canton of Valais, it culminates in a valley at a height of more than 85 meters. Its width is 65 centimeters for a length of 494 meters.

It avoids a descent of nearly 500 meters and that we had then to climb to reach the opposite mount.

The bridge uses a modern system of vibration damping to avoid the transmission of waves in the body of the hikers who use it.

Its weak point is its sensitivity to storms, it will be subject to lightning reception and will therefore be prohibited when the weather will be stormy.
