The MSI GTX 1080 Ti Lightning Z card breaks all records
Guru3d has published the tests of this card. And the least that we can say is that the MSI GTX 1080 Ti Lightning Z supersedes all other video cards by far.
This GPU has a frequency of 1.58 GHz, with a boost at 1.69 GHz, more than 11 Gb of memory.
Performance
On average, the card is 6.4% more efficient than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti which was the most powerful on the market.
Temperature
At Idle, the card reaches a temperature of 36°C, it is 4°C more than the Ti.
On load, it is 66°C, 18°C less than the Ti. Which is exceptional!
Noise
At Idle, the noise is 30 DBa, compared to the 35 DBa for the Ti.
On load, it is 39 DBa, against 41 DBa for the Ti.
Consumption
The spike of consumption was reached at 339 Watts. While we have 279 Watts for the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. 479 Watts for the Asus GeForce GTX Titan-Z.
It’s very high. But it is quite expected. It will require a power supply of 600-650 Watts to support it. For overclocking, it will be necessary to take a power supply of 800 Watts.
Overclocking
When overclocked, the card gains 5.3% of additional performance. With a heart then clocked at 1.65 GHz, a boost at 2.05 GHz, a memory at 12 GHz.
It is expected to be available in July 2017.
