Who is collecting information?

The administrator of W3Ask is collecting data on you when you are visiting the website. Google Analytics is also getting some information to create statistics about the visitors.


What kind of information are you collecting and how?

We are collecting your country location, not the exact location but only the country’s name. We are also registering the search queries you are entering in our search engine, we are storing the landing page, the exit page, the time invested on the page, type of device used, the web browser's name, the screen resolution.

We are using Google Analytics to collect this data. We are also using internal functions to get your location, the search queries.

We are not getting and storing your IP address, neither your email address, names, mailing address, sex, age, etc…


When do you share it?

We do not share the data collected.


Where do you use this information?

We are using Goolgle Analytics to store the data, and database table otherwise for the location and the keywords.


How do you protect sensitive identifiable information?

We do not collect sensitive identifiable information as passwords, credit card numbers, etc… as we do not offer user accounts and we do not sell products.


How can I find out what you know about me?

As we do not register your IP address or a bash number that would be linked to your visit, your data is anonymous and is not accessible.


How long do you keep the data ?

We erase the data (country’s location and queries) after 3 months. We keep the Google Analytics data (also anonymous) for several years.


Why do you collect it?

The Google Analytics data is used to know if we are well referenced, how to improve the content, the website navigation. We are using your country location to propose pictures of products associated to a link that can refer you to a store operating in your country (Amazon and Ebay) if possible. We are using your keywords to create statistics about the most popular search queries; it helps us to know what kind of articles to create.


What about the cookies?

There is no cookies on our server. We do not create sessions dedicated to each visitor.
