How to reject spam from unknown IP with Postfix

It may be useful to set Postfix in order to block some spam that you constantly get every day and that become to be annoying, especially if you receive daily notifications from you web server.

To reject spam from unknow IP addresses with the module Postfix, you can use reject_unknown_client_hostname.

Here is an example with a live mail server :

smtpd_client_restrictions =

        permit_mynetworks,

        reject_unauth_pipelining,

        reject_unknown_client_hostname,

        permit
