How to restart Apache2 on a Debian server



It may be useful to restart Apache2 after modifying a domain name configuration file, or after installing an application that is useful for managing the server. Or after updating the version of the Linux distribution, after installing a new package.

To restart the Apache2 server, one of the two following lines is applied:

service apache2 restart
sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
