Samsung presents the Ballie robot with artificial intelligence
This robot, which is a domestic assistant, has the appearance of a tennis ball. In a presentation video, we can see him interacting with the home automation of a house, raising the roller shutters to illuminate a room, activating a tablet to play music in order to wake a person. It can read the facial expressions of a human, project the video image it records on a screen in real time, activate a television to launch a program to entertain a child or animal, send the video it records in the house on the smartphone of one of the residents, who is outside the home. If a child or pet soils the floor, they can activate the cleaning robot to dust and clean the part of the floor that has been soiled.
Ballie's goal is to assist you in your home in order to save you time and be pleasant to you. It can control any connected device in the house. He can check that everything is working correctly. It can manage the temperature of the rooms in the home, the brightness, and see the status of the washing machine. It has a projector to display what you want, just ask it. For example, it can display tutorial videos, for cooking, videos of the inside of the refrigerator, the oven. It can project a calendar, a video call, a fitness training program, a television program. It can relay the view from the front door camera when a delivery arrives.
The Ballie robot is released in 2024. Its greatest utility is the concentration of control of all devices in the home in a single robot.
