Main silver producing countries

Here are the countries that produce the most silver in the world. We note that money is present in a large number of countries. Currently, Mexico, China and Peru represent half of world production.

The characteristics of silver are the same as gold and copper. This metal is less malleable than gold. The thermal and electrical conductivity of silver are very high. But its high price means that silver is rarely used in electrical conductors.

The main use of silver is its incorporation into jewelry. Also silver cutlery, because silver has great anti-bacterial properties. Flutes in concerts are often silver plated. Silver-plated glass is used to create mirrors, Christmas decorations, and insulated flasks. To harden silver, alloys are often made with copper.

Silver is used as an antibiotic coating for medical instruments. To treat infections, dressings that contain silver nanomaterials or silver sulfadiazine are very effective. Silver is very important in some electronic conductors such as the connectors of very high frequency or radio frequency devices. Silver paint is used to make printed circuits, as well as coatings for radio frequency identification antennas.
