Size comparison: 10 Hygiea vs Ceres

Size comparison between 10 Hygiea and Ceres.

10 Hygiea is a major asteroid, possibly a dwarf planet that is located in the main asteroid belt. It is the 4th largest asteroid in the solar system in terms of mass and volume. This celestial body is almost spherical.

Ceres is the smallest dwarf planet in the solar system. It is also the largest known asteroid. Unlike 10 Hygiea, there is water in the form of ice on its surface. It is assumed that there is possibly an ocean of liquid water between the core and the ice sheet as on the Europa moon. What makes this element a candidate for the presence of extraterrestrial life.
