Quetzalcoatlus is the largest flying animal to have flown on Earth, along with Hatzegopteryx, and Cryodrakon which are also pterosaurs. It is part of the Azhdarchidae family. Its name comes from an Aztec feathered serpent god. Currently the largest bird on the planet is the Wandering Albatross (Diomedea exulans), with a wingspan of 3.5 meters (11 feet 6 inches). The pteranodon appeared 22 million years before the Quetzalcoatlus, these two animals are not encountered in reality, although they lived in the same place. The height of this pterosaur is comparable to that of a giraffe.
