Sitemaps
First, be aware that a sitemaps can help robots to better navigate the structure of your site. Even if nowadays, it is not really essential anymore. You can submit your sitemaps in the Google Search Console, using the menu Crawl> Sitemaps.
Errors
Look at Google's browsing errors, still in Google's search console. Create an account if you have not done so already, this tool is essential for a webmaster. If necessary, redirect 404 errors to the home page. For that, you can use a rewrite in a htaccess file, or a plugin if you use WordPress.
HTML code
Make sure your site's source code shows the title of the article, a meta description, meta keywords.
Redirection
Redirect your old site to the new one, if your site is a new, more dynamic version. Visitors will then fall on this site, this will encourage Google to reference it.
Create links
The best advice is to create links to your site, from other websites. For this we will write comments in the articles of websites that have a common theme with our pages, and we will add a link to our new website. Be careful not to spam. Each comment must be unique, well written and at least 300 characters long. You will need at least 100 backlinks to get first results, and a total of at least 30-40 different websites. Comments must be created on pages that arrive in the top 20-30 results for a certain keyword in Google.
Add backlinks in articles
Even better, ask other webmasters to add backlinks to your website and in exchange you will do the same on your side. Here we will put hyperlinks in different articles on expressions close to the theme of your writings. You can also put internal links on your own site.
Note: Commissions may be earned from the links above.
