[Solution] "Unexpected store exception" error with blue screen
You were transferring files, downloading or viewing large files on your computer when all of a sudden you heard as if one of your hard drives were shutting down, followed by a system blue screen. Windows operation with the following message:
Unexpected store exception
This is a fairly common message that pops up when the data storage system on one of your hard drives is faulty.
Click Windows key + R, enter: cmd, click OK.
Type:
chkdsk C: /F
You will probably get the following message:
The file system type is NTFS.
Unable to lock the current drive.
CHKDSK cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Do you want this volume to be checked on the next system restart? (Y/N)
Tap the Y key, then tap the Enter key on the keyboard.
Restart your computer, Windows will check and repair the hard drive.
Do the same for the other hard drives. For example :
chkdsk E: /F
You may have the following message displayed:
Chkdsk could not run because the volume is in use by another process.
Chkdsk will be able to run after this volume is unmounted.
Descriptors opened on this volume will no longer be valid.
Do you want to force dismount this volume? (Y/N)
Tap the Y key, then tap the Enter key on the keyboard.
And restart the computer.
If the problem persists, change your memory modules.
One of your hard drives may be physically defective and therefore at the end of its life. In this case disconnect your secondary hard drives one by one and identify the one that no longer works. You can try to back up your data on the disk.
