What is the smartest telescope to watch the sun? There are filters that we attach to a conventional telescope to target our star. However, this can be dangerous if the filter is removed. You can always project the image onto a sheet of paper or add a webcam or camera to the eyepiece. But the device can also suffer damage if the filter has a problem. It is thus preferable to opt for a telescope dedicated to the observation of the sun, especially that the definition will be much better than with a standard telescope and a simple filter.
Here is what can be obtained at the exit of the eyepiece with the various solar telescopes:
4 - Coronado solar telescope SolarMaxII 60-BF10. Opening: 60 mm; Focal length: 400mm; F / d ratio: f / 6.6. Maximum useful magnification: 120. Light collecting power: 70. Bandwidth: 0.7 AE.
2 - Coronado ST 40-400 PST solar telescope. Opening: 40mm; Focal length: 400mm; F / d ratio: f / 10. Maximum useful magnification: 80; Light collecting power: 30. Bandwidth: 0.5 A handset.
