Here is a list of the best FPS games set during the Vietnam War. For each of these video games, we have the poster, the synopsis, the rating of the players, the year of launch, the platforms available.

We notice that there are not many recent games. This era deserves to be revisited with latest generation graphics and a single player or cooperative mode worthy of the name.

	Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness June 2018, PC. 4.2/10. This is a DLC of Far Cry 5. A resident of Hope County, named Wendell Redler, war veteran must return to Vietnam. This soldier must save his countrymen who have been imprisoned by the enemy. He will have to face the Vietcong, in a very hostile environment.
	Shellshock 2: Blood Trails February 2009, PC, XBox 360, Play Station 3. 5/10. Nate Walker is a young American soldier. He goes to the bedside of Cal, his brother who is the last survivor of a patrol sent to Cambodia to recover the contents of a crashed plane. It is a virus that quickly turns its hosts into cannibals.
	NAM July 1998, PC. 5/10. This game looks like Duke Nukem 3D. There are 34 levels divided into 4 episodes. 15 levels are dedicated to single player play and 19 levels are for multiplayer. The player takes on the role of a sergeant who has to face Viet Cong raids during the Vietnam War in 1966. Several traps must be avoided, with ambushes, airstrikes, snipers, anti-personnel mines.
	Line of Sight: Vietnam March 2003, PC. 5.7/10. The player takes on the role of soldier Chris Egan, a sniper who is part of the American special forces. The soldier is based in Nha Trang in Vietnam. There are 12 single player missions. For each mission, different objectives must be achieved. The player has a teammate controlled by an artificial intelligence; it is possible to give orders to this other soldier. Some missions take place during the day, others at night.
	The Hell in Vietnam February 2008, PC. 6/10. Colonel Thomas Coburn is transferred to the temporary military base of Don Dien as leader of the reconnaissance squad which includes 4 soldiers. Coburn has just graduated from the Special Forces Training School in Nha Trang. The team is specialized in terms of intelligence, communication, sabotage. There are 8 missions, varied military equipment from both sides of the conflict, highly detailed weapon models.
	Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War November 2020, PC, Play Station 4, Xbox One. 6.1/10. A Soviet agent by the name of Perseus sows trouble during the Cold War in the 1980s. This agent, according to information sent to the CIA, wants to change the course of the conflict, as well as the balance of power. The player must hunt him down and eliminate him, using a special team.
	Vietcong 2 October 2005, PC. 6.4/10. Daniel Boone is a member of the Military Assistance Command in Vietnam. He participated in the Tết offensive in 1968. There is a first American campaign, once completed, a second campaign is accessible as a recruit of the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam, before and during the same Tết offensive.

	Men of Valor October 2004, PC, XBox. 7.3/10. Dean Shepard was part of the third battalion of the third marine division in 1968. With his squad marines, he had to manage 16 missions during the Vietnam War, including missions during the Tết offensive. The player has to wield different weapons like heavy machine guns in the gunships, fight the enemy in tunnel complexes.
	Vietnam: Black Ops September 2000, PC. 7.6/10. First person action game. The player finds himself in the shoes of a Vietcong and must complete nine different levels, with the exploration of forgotten ruins, of the jungle.
	Arma 3 Creator DLC: S.O.G. Prairie Fire May 2021, PC. 8.1/10. Designed with the help of former American soldiers, this game immerses the player in the Vietnam War, in the middle of enemy territory, through units of MACV-SOG, a secret special organization. The player must explore the jungle and go to battle in the vast valleys of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
	Battlefield Vietnam March 2004, PC. 8.4/10. Battlefield Vietnam is similar to Battlefield 1942 game. There are multiple maps available with historical situations, such as Operation Flaming Dart, Fall of Saigon, Battle of Khe Sanh, Drang Valley, Battle of Hue, Way of Ho Chi Minh. The player must control key points on the map. This game can be played alone but is especially designed for multiplayer mode.
	Vietcong April 2003, PC. 8.4/10. Steve R. Hawkins is a master sergeant who is in charge of intelligence in the American special forces, in 1967, at the start of the Vietnam War. He was transferred to the highlands of the country, to the Nui Pek camp, not far from the border with Cambodia. Hawkins must train the local militias, block off part of the Ho Chi Minh trail, as well as eliminate any Vietcong resistance.
	Battlefield: Bad Company 2: Vietnam June 2017, PC, Play Station 3, Xbox 360. 8.7/10. Expansion of the Bad Company 2 game with 5 maps inspired by the Vietnam War, 15 weapons and 6 classic vehicles. Among the maps are the Strategic Base, Hill 137, Cao Son Temple, Phu Bai Valley. This is a game intended for multiplayer mode.
	SEAL Team June 1993, PC. 9/10. The player leads a US Navy special forces SEAL commando. He must carry out missions of reconnaissance, infiltration or destruction.
