A study by Brown University of Providence in the United States that was published in the magazine Nature Geoscience would indicate that there would be water in the depths of the Moon.
By analysing the satellite images of the Moon, the researchers found pyroclastic deposits (stones broken by the lava); And variations of reflections of sun rays as well as thermal energy appear. That would mean there is water on these rocks.
According to them, the main part of the Moon’s mantle could be wet. The water would come from asteroids and comets crushed on our natural satellite.
This discovery could be very useful for future exploration missions on the Moon.
