One often reads that a computer has X qbits, that a company aims to create a computer of Y qbits before the end of the year.
But what is a qbit?
A bit is a memory that contains either 0 or 1. While a qbit is a memory that may be a superposition of 0 and 1.
It can not be said that X qbits equals Y bits. We can not really compare a quantum computer to a conventional computer.
