Yannick Jadot's measures on political life, with institutions, decentralization of democracy, youth voting, proportionality to the national assembly, referendums, the seven-year term during the environmentalists primary for the French presidential election of 2022.
Decentralization makes it possible to restore democracy everywhere, to get out of the long period of politics in terms of the establishment of laws, when reality needs rapid action. It also clarifies the competences of the communities.
To put an end to the blockages of disgruntled citizens, we need policies that keep their commitments made during the campaign once they are elected, in order to get out of the mistrust of our fellow citizens vis-à-vis politics.
Young people must seize their destiny, it is their present, their future, the climate, solidarity, violence against women, animal suffering. Everything for which young people militate, they must take power, play politics, we must not let only the oldest or the wealthiest vote. Young people must vote for all of this.
The strength of the assembly must be elected on a proportional basis to build political representativeness in the country.
Democracy must be promoted as close as possible to citizens, with local initiative referundums. We need more citizen conventions, consensuses and respect what comes out of these conventions.
The seven-year term must be non-renewable, with a president who responds to article 5 of the constitution, which consists in guaranteeing the separation of powers: judicial, legislative and executive power.
